For many of us, the feeling of helplessness in a catastrophic situation can be overwhelming. Many have donated funds, material goods and volunteered their time to comfort those who have been impacted by the earthquake and tsunami of March 11, 2011. Without a doubt, these relief efforts are essential to the recovery and rebuilding of not only Japan, but the rebuilding of the Japanese themselves. And although the Japanese may be strong in spirit with the will to persevere, without the cornerstone who is Jesus Christ, there is no foundation strong enough to withstand tribulation and trials.
Will this be the end of the “big ones” for Japan? Given Japan’s history and by looking at scripture, there could very well be some rougher roads ahead. But to God be all glory and honor, for His name will be lifted up amidst the terror of destruction, despite the homelessness, despair and defeat.
The Japanese use what is called an inkan, a unique signet (stamp) used to identify themselves at banks, on official documents, and as a matter of public record. It is a type of seal, used in personal documents, office paperwork, contracts, art, or any item requiring acknowledgment or authorship. Black ink is not acceptable to validate the inkan’s mark. Instead, a red ink is used to signify an original or notation of importance, such as an original work of art or court document.
God’s inkan is the cross of Christ, sealing Japan with the red ink which is the blood of Jesus Christ. The mark of the God’s inkan is the seal of the Holy Spirit, guaranteeing salvation to any and all who would call on His name. It’s design is a simple cross, marking the Japanese as God’s original workmanship, created for His good pleasure.
The following is a collection of scripture, writings and various links regarding Japan in this very hour. They are meant to encourage, be prayed over and examined in the Spirit. This collection is being grown gradually, so please bookmark this page as a part of your prayers for Japan.

Scriptures for Meditation
The Unshaken Kingdom
Hebrews 12:25-29 “See to it that you do not refuse Him who is speaking For if those did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less will we escape who turn away from Him who warns from heaven.
And His voice shook the earth then, but now He has promised, saying, “YET ONCE MORE I WILL SHAKE NOT ONLY THE EARTH, BUT ALSO THE HEAVEN.”
This expression, “Yet once more,” denotes the removing of those things which can be shaken, as of created things, so that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe;
for our God is a consuming fire.”
Haggai 2:6-7 “For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.”
Acts 16:26 “And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.”
Rom 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Rev 3:20 ” Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”
John 1:12,13 “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
Acts 4:12 “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
1 Pet 1:18,19 “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold…. But with the precious blood of Christ….. ”
2 Pet 3:9 “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
